Boreal Twilight Herbal Infusion | BLUEBERRYJAMS

  • $16.00

by Blueberryjams

Ingredients: labrador tea, nettle, sweet fern, malva, yarrow, roses & hips, juniper berries, mugwort.
Blended for: Forest tisane & colds & coughs
Other possibilities: mild pain relief – can be used as a bath and for healing rituals

Preparing herbal infusions (basic quick method):  To prepare an herbal infusion, take 1tsp per cup of water  and/or 4-6 tbsp of dried herb to 1 quart of water, place in tea pot or glass jar.  Boil water kettle or pot and pour boiled water over herbs. Cover with lid and let steep for 10 -15 mins. Infusion will keep in refrigerator between 24 to 48 hours.

Herbal Safety With Infusions - Labrador tea, juniper berries, and mugwort are potent herbs that must be used carefully. We recommend a light infusion of this blend as a “tisane” and make sure to drink in mindful amounts with breaks between.

Most of our blends were made for a specific person or to support someone with a specific ailment in mind.  We encourage you to use the herbal infusions you get from Blueberryjams as an opportunity (or prompt) to get to know the plant medicines they contain. We recommend, like Rosemary Gladstar, that you learn about a plant from three different sources.

When using new herbs, verify that they are not counter-indicated with any existing medical issue/medications you are taking. Start with small doses and listen to your body.
