Highlighting the euphoric aroma of amethyst and cream-hued lilac to create an exquisite and otherwordly soliflore fragrance meant to transport the wearer to the tender, blooming heart of Spring.

The elusive lilac scent is one that is incredibly difficult to capture in perfumery — especially naturally. The petals are simply too delicate to distill, and tincturing and enfleurage techniques are generally too labor-intensive to produce on a larger scale. Lilac's fragility lends itself to its perfume, and the resulting scent will always be more ephemeral than that of others, fading from the skin same as its blooms wane as spring leads into summer.

These same challenges of capturing the lilac scent make it all the more appealing, however, and the result that much more precious. To begin the process, we first created our lilac enfleurage — a laborious, multi-step process where each handpicked blossom is carefully laid out on a layer of vegetal fat, which captures their aroma, and replaced daily. We then used the spent petals, still charged with scent, to create an olfactory tincture, and combined the two before carefully enhancing the blend with a Lilac C02 extraction, a bouquet of narcotic florals, and a base accord of benzoin and sandalwood.
