JUNIPER BERRY | Absolute

Wow! It’s a little tricky to work with, but once it’s diluted, it’s sooo good.
In a blend, it takes a while to reveal itself. But once the other volatile ingredients of the blend have given all they have, this absolute delivers a cool, bright, fresh, green, resinous bitterness all the way to the drydown..

I was hesitant at first to purchase this, but it kept calling me back.. I’m really grateful to have gotten to experience this. It is as one would think, like a lovely juniper essential oil, on steroids. It’s more balsamic, crisp, and fresh, and has remarkable tenacity. I diluted it into a solution of 1/3 absolute with 2/3 high quality juniper essential oil to have something easier to work with, as it’s very thick and quite sticky. Once diluted, I still have to warm up the solution to work with it, but I love having the balsamic depth that this absolute mixture imparts to my creations. It’s citrusy, fruity, woody, bright, refreshing, and has a slight peppery top note as well. I don’t detect any of the harsher notes sometimes associated with juniper EO. Blended beautifully with pink lotus and jasmine. I recommend trying it at least once; it’s worth it.
