Notes of: absinthe haze, night-blooming jasmine, rosewood accord, opoponax, orris root, copal, sandalwood. musk, myrrh. A resinous and lactonic musk fragrance.
Lunatic; of ‘lunacy’, translated literally as ‘of the moon’’—applicably of pejorative use toward a person of ‘extravagant folly’, whose intermittent bouts of upset and derangement are dictated by the waxing and waning of the Moon. Unsurprisingly, the common usage of the terms finds its roots in misogyny, and has been used to denigrate radical thinkers, deep feelers, and anyone whose behaviour fell out of line from patriarchal ideas of what and who is rational.
In this olfactory interpretation of the lunar effect, we choose to strip the word of its corrupted and oppressive connotation, and instead lean into the lunarian motions of feeling profoundly, speaking expressively, and dreaming abundantly, dancing beneath the Moon’s glow in reverence.
