CARROT SEED ESSENTIAL OIL | Pure Plant Extract
Pure Daucus carota steam distilled essential oil from France.
Extracted from the seeds of the Daucus carota plant, whose common names include Wild Carrot, Bishop's or Queen Anne's lace, Carrot seed essential oil has a dry, sweet-woody, root-like, earthy aroma with a tenacious wet earth and spicy dry down.
The essential oil presents a transparent to light yellow mobile liquid, and has traditionally been used in facial products and appreciated for its rejuvenating qualities.
A friend of the natural perfumer, its aroma blends well with chypres, fougères, woody and resinous scents as well as citrus and spice. Beware of its intense fragrance that can easily overpower a perfume, best working with small quantities.
The Carrot seed essential oil blends well with bergamot, citrus oils, cedarwood, cinnamon, geranium, helichrysum, juniper, lavender, lemon, lime, mimosa, neroli, petitgrain, orange and verbana.

Essential oils, absolutes, and other pure plant extracts should not be applied to the skin without being properly diluted in a cosmetic carrier (such as jojoba oil, ethanol, Epsom salts, etc.) Always patch-test when using an essential oil or absolute for the first time, and research whether or not the extract you are using is skin-safe and in what quantity or that it is appropriate for its intended use. Do not ingest essential oils or apply them internally, and avoid contact with the eyes. Keep out of reach of children and pets, and consult a knowledgeable health practitioner before use when pregnant or breastfeeding.
