☾ PERFUMERY SALES ASSOCIATE  ☾

Our little team is growing again! We are looking for a full time sales associate for our Montréal boutique. Our ideal fit is a person with an existing baseline knowledge on the world of scents and perfume - either from a previous retail standpoint or by way of personal obsession, someone who is empathetic and an open communicator, who is comfortable in both French and English, spoken and written, and someone who is comfortable using social media and has an eye for visual community engagement. Any familiarity with plant-based wellness practices and rituals would also be an asset.

We are a woman-led & queer-operated team whose values are reflected in the products we make and the ways we approach care, self-adornment, and community.

• Position Type: Full time, 4 days per week, 32-35 hrs, including Sunday and weekday evenings until 7:30pm
• Compensation: $18/hr+ based on experience, knowledge of scents and perfumery, and any other special skills relevant to the position, generous employee discounts, welcome package, and PTO.
• Location: 160 Saint Viateur East, Montreal - This is an in-person position at our storefront.

Responsibilities:

• Opening and closing + key holder responsibilities
• After training, exhibiting knowledge of the full range of LVNEA products, as well as items in our boutique
• Provide sales support to customers - offering suggestions and educating them about our company and our products to help them make the best selection suited to their desires
• Handle incoming questions and issues from customers in person and online
• Oversee accurate pricing, product displays, and general presentation of products
• Helping to create, share content, and be featured on our social media platforms
• Engaging with customers via social media
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the shop and shared common areas
• Assist during monthly events like pop-ups, workshops, etc.

Requirements:

• Available 4 days per week, 32-35 hrs, including Sunday and weekday evenings until 7:30pm
• Excellent French and English written and verbal communication skills
• 2+ years experience in retail
• Basic knowledge (fragrance categories and notes) of scents and natural perfume
• Desire to continuously improve eye for quality, sense of smell, and knowledge of perfume, essential oils, and plants
• A creative eye for design; ability to make beautiful shop displays
• Experience using a variety of social media platforms with an eye for engaging visuals
• Punctual, with access to reliable transportation to our shop/studio
• Dependable, self-directed and focused in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
• Ability to work happily and efficiently on your own and in a team and help other departments when necessary
• Ability to work a moderately physical job - you will be on your feet for portions of the day and may need to accept/lift packages in the shop, weighing up to 40lbs
• Willing to follow basic Covid protocols like mask wearing while interacting with other staff and customers

☾ COPYWRITER ☾

LVNEA is in need of a copywriter. We’re looking for someone to work on contract for a series of both one-off and recurring projects. Our ideal collaborator is a person with previous experience working with small, artisanal brands in a range of voices, someone who understands the use of SEO in copywriting, as well as being bilingual and able to write copy in both English and French. 

This is a remote position, with periodic meetings during the week between 11am and 5pm EST.
