Wild Rose Syrup | GOURMET SAUVAGE
The intense perfume of the wild rose is revealed in this artisanal syrup, evocative of the shores of the St Lawrence near Kamouraska where the harvest takes place.
The rose petals are harvested five at a time by closing your fingers around the flower, leaving the center of the flower to bear fruit. It is a tedious harvest compensated for by the heady aroma of flowers and the beautiful landscape and seascape of the St Lawrence. From rosebush to the table, every phase is done by hand. We add sugar and a bit of acid to the petals to produce this entirely natural, fuchsia-coloured syrup.
CULINARY SUGGESTIONS: Delicious in carbonated water with a twist of lemon, in fruit cocktails, on pancakes and sorbets, as a sugar substitute in cake recipes.
INGREDIENTS: Organic sugar, Water, Wild roses, Citric acid.
